| Deployment Timeline | 2024 |
| Field | Large supermarket |
| Key Scope | Network · Video security · Separation |
1. On-site situation
Because POS and customer WiFi were on the same network, there were payment delays and security concerns, and the low CCTV image quality in the store made it difficult to resolve disputes at the checkout counter.
2. Deployment scope
| Network | 30 Omada APs |
|---|---|
| Video Security | 50 VIGI CCTV cameras |
| Separation | Separate POS network configuration |
3. How we solved it
- Physically separated the POS network — fully isolated from customer WiFi
- Replaced checkout area cameras with high-resolution cameras
- Using AP counting for in-store congestion analysis
- Centralized monitoring via HQ-store VPN connections
4. Results
| Payment Delays | Peak-hour resolution |
|---|---|
| Customer WiFi | Completely separated on a dedicated network |
| Checkout Counter Disputes | Video evidence available |
"When a problem occurs at the checkout counter, we can check it immediately via video, so issues are resolved faster."
